أطلقت منظمة سمكس المعنية بالحقوق الرقمية النسخة الخامسة من الملتقى السنوي خبز ونت في لبنان، وسيكون الملتقى هذه السنة حضوريا بعد أن حاصرت جائحة كورونا العالم خلال السنتين الماضيتين.
منظمة الخط الأحمر تشجع جميع النشطاء والمعنيين بالتسجيل للحضور، وعلى المتخصصين تقديم مقترحات لعناوين جلسات إن كان لديهم القدرة على ذلك، التفاصيل في البيان الصحفي المرفق.

سمكس تطلق ملتقى خبز ونت بنسخته الخامسة
بيروت، 11 نيسان/أبريل، 2022 – بعد عامين من عقد “خبز ونت“ عبر الإنترنت، يعود الملتقى بنسخته الخامسة، في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر القادم، كمهرجان عبر الإنترنت وحضورياً في لبنان. يجمع الملتقى كما العادة مجتمع الحقوق الرقمية وغيرهم من الفئات والمجتمعات بهدف تشارك المعلومات، وإجراء النقاشات، وإنشاء شبكة تواصل متعددة الجوانب والقدرات.
وبالإضافة إلى عقد الجلسات والنقاشات وورشات العمل التي تركّز على الثقافة الرقمية والأمان الرقمي لشعوب المنطقة الناطقة باللغة العربية، سيوسّع “خبز ونت” فعّالياته لتشمل نشاطات ولقاءات ثقافية مختلفة في لبنان.
وهذا العام، وسّعنا نطاق المواضيع التي يغطّيها “خبز ونت” لتشمل 19 مساراً مختلفاً، يهدف كلّ مسار منها إلى تجسيد ودعم رؤيتنا نحو “خبز ونت” شامل وتفاعلي ومفتوح للجميع.
كما أضفنا “المسار المفتوح” (Open Track) ليشكّل مساحة حرّة للمتحدّثات والمتحدّثين الذين يريدون تنظيم نشاطات معينة أو عرض أعمالهم/ن حول الحقوق الرقمية والقيم التي يؤمن بها ملتقى “خبز ونت”.
ويقول المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة “سمكس”، محمد نجم: “متحمّسون للترحيب بالأصدقاء والزملاء مجدداً في بيروت، كما نتطلّع إلى انضمام أعضاء جدد إلى مجتمع الحقوق الرقمية في المنطقة وإنشاء علاقات تعاون مثمرة”. ويضيف أنّ “التجربة هذه المرّة، مع احتفالية خبز ونت بنسخته الخامسة، ستكون مختلفة ولا تُنسى”.
الدعوة مفتوحة لتقديم مقترحات لجلسات في “خبز نت” حتّى 30 أيار/مايو 2022، ويمكن تقديم المقترحات على موقع الملتقى Breadandnet.org. سنعلن عن برنامج الملتقى وتفاصيل التسجيل للحضور قريباً.
نبذة عن “خبز ونت”
ملتقى “خبز ونت“ هو مساحة سنوية لدعم الحقوق الرقمية في الدول الناطقة باللغة العربية من تنظيم “سمكس”. صُمّم “خبز ونت” خصّيصاً للناشطين/ات والتقنيّين/ات والصحافيّين/ات والباحثين/ات والمحامين/ات والأكاديميّين/ات وروّاد الأعمال والمدافعين/ات عن حقوق الإنسان من حول العالم، والذين بدورهم/ن يساهمون في استمرارية هذا الملتقى الذي يركّز بصورةٍ خاصّة على الحقوق والحريات الرقمية في الدول الناطقة باللغة العربية.
يوفّر “خبز ونت” مساحة لتشارك وتبادل التجارب والأبحاث والخبرات التي تندرج تحت موضوعات مثل خصوصية البيانات وأمنها، والرقابة عبر الإنترنت، والتخويف الرقمي، والمضايقات من قبل الجهات الفاعلة الحكومية وغير الحكومية، وحجب الإنترنت وإمكانية الوصول إليه، وعمليات التجسس، بالاضافة إلى المبادرات التي يقودها المجتمع المدني لمواجهة التهديدات الرقمية، وغيرها من المواضيع.
منظمة “سمكس”
“سمكس“ هي منظّمة لبنانية غير حكومية تعمل منذ عام 2008 للدفاع عن الحقوق الرقمية في المنطقة الناطقة باللغة العربية، تعمل للدفاع عن الحقوق الرقمية ونشر ثقافة الانفتاح وتشجيع المحتوى المحلّي، وكذلك التشجيع على التفاعل النقدي مع التقنيات ووسائل التواصل والشبكات الرقمية في المنطقة. تجري “سمكس” أبحاثاً وتنظّم تدريبات وتطلق حملات مناصرة حول سياسات الإنترنت والحقوق الرقمية من أجل المساهمة في توفير وتوسيع بيئات يسهل الوصول إليها والمشاركة فيها من جانب الأفراد والمجتمع المدني.

SMEX LAUNCHESTHE FIFTH EDITION OF BREAD&NET
BEIRUT, April 11, 2022—After two years of convening entirely online, this November, the digital rights community will finally meet again in person, in Lebanon, for our first hybrid festival. In addition to the live-streamed sessions, the fifth edition of Bread&Net will host a range of in-person networking and community-building events across Beirut. Our aim is to promote and strengthen the local culture of digital literacy, privacy, and security while bringing to light the wider digital rights challenges and opportunities emerging in our region.
This year, we’re expanding the scope of topics covered to include nineteen different tracks—each aiming to represent and support our vision of a more inclusive, engaging, and open Bread&Net. We’ve also added an Open Space track for speakers to organize activities or promote their work on digital rights and Bread&Net values.
Bread&Net is free and open to all participants interested in deepening their understanding of the two-fold role of technology: either as a tool for supporting human rights and freedoms or as a malicious weapon of repression, particularly in the Arabic-speaking countries.
“We are excited to welcome many friends and colleagues who can finally be with us this year in Beirut. We also look forward to introducing new members to the regional digital rights community and creating exciting collaborations. Since Bread&Net is returning as a festival this time, we know it will be an unforgettable experience for many of us,” said Mohamad Najem, Executive Director at SMEX.

What is Bread&Net?
Bread&Net is an annual unconference that promotes and defends digital rights across Arabic-speaking countries. Hosted by SMEX, Bread&Net brings together hundreds of human rights defenders, technologists, journalists, researchers, lawyers, artists, academics, and entrepreneurs from around the world, with a particular focus on the challenges to online rights and freedoms across communities in our Arabic-speaking countries. Speakers are offered the space to share their experiences, research, and insights on a wide range of topics that fall under the broad themes of data privacy and security, online censorship, digital intimidation and harassment by state and nonstate actors, internet shutdowns and accessibility to the internet, mass surveillance, and community-led responses to digital threats, among others.
